CALIFORNICATION
Use photography to communicate a concept inspired by a style of music and a pre-existing album title and artist. Photography must work in harmony with the title to convey the mood, attitude, and concept of the record compellingly.
OBJECTIVE
RESEARCH
I used a pool to align with the album’s original composition. To capture underwater shots, I placed my camera inside a fish tank. This setup created the immersive, distorted look I wanted.
SHOOTING Process
This phase explored multiple visual approaches, testing compositions, textures, and photographic techniques. Through trial and refinement, I narrowed down ideas that conveyed the album’s mood.
