ECHOES OF Influence

OBJECTIVE

To create a poster with a cohesive typographic system that highlights a poet whose work serves as a voice for activism, becoming a resilient echo that inspires future generations.

Research

I compared the work of three poets whose writing serves as a form of influence and activism. I explored their history, the issues they address, and the ways their poetry amplifies awareness and change.

CREATIVE wRITING

Exploring how poetry becomes activism, this writing reflects on the power of words to transform grief into resistance and amplify silenced voices.

Hussain Ahmed is a poet because his work confronts the wounds of conflict and displacement, giving voice to communities fractured by violence. Through vivid imagery and unflinching honesty, he writes of war, exile, and memory, turning personal grief into collective testimony. His poetry becomes an act of resistance, preserving stories that might otherwise be silenced and urging readers to recognize the human cost of injustice.

FINAL

For Hussain Ahmed’s composition, I wanted to capture how his poetry acts as an echo of influence, one voice that resonates beyond the present and continues to inspire generations to come. The use of blue tones reflects not only the spiritual and peaceful qualities of his work but also the imagery of water, a symbol of continuity and flow.

The circular arrangement of text, blurred into motion, was designed to suggest both an echo and a ripple. This visual form mirrors how Ahmed’s words extend outward, creating waves of influence that carry his message forward through time.
